Take a look at the bottom of the page for Jeff's latest tip of the month: How to repartition your disk. 3/1/12. Happy New Year to all our website visitors. ------------------------------------------------------------------ December 201112/12/11. Check out Jeff's latest, festive, tip of the month which shows you how to change the Windows 7 glass colour. ------------------------------------------------------------------ November 201112/11/11. Well, we actually shot our first film in a while at the end of October. "Food for Thought" (working title) is a thought provoking look at one of the certainties of life and how people cope with it. Look out for more details soon. We would like to thank Gloria and Jill (our actors) for their time and efforts. We would also like to thank Gloria for the loan of her house as our 'set' for the shoot. (The tea and scones were great too :-)
------------------------------------------------------------------October 201125/10/11. After something of a long break we are slowly getting back into making a few films. To kick start the process however, we decided that everybody should have a bash at editing Push, the short film shot back in a cold November last year. Keep your eyes peeled for more about the resulting masterpiece soon. However, to wet your appetite, take a look at Wendy's latest article about her directorial debut on that very film. 22/10/11. As promised, Jeff's latest tip of the month "Can I change the shutdown button?" can be found at the bottom of this page. As we are over half way through October, I guess I'll leave it here for November as well :-) ------------------------------------------------------------------September 201127/9/11. Sorry if you've been waiting for a tip of the month. Jeff wrote it, but the webmaster didn't get round to posting it. Sorry :-(. Keep an eye open, there will be a new one up soon. 20/9/11. We have changed our meeting nights from the first week of the month to the last - hopefully to minimise conflicts with some group members being elsewhere and not attending meetings :-). Anyway, a few of our members seemed to miss that fact (didn't read the minutes obviously), and turned up on the original meeting night at the beginning of the month. Fortunately Barry & Jean who are due to host the next meeting were at home and made the visitors welcome. Seems like the rest of us missed out on a nice little chat and some rather yummy looking eats.
16/9/11. Calling all video clubs. In the past we have shared a Showreel DVD of our films with other film groups. If you belong to a group/club etc. and would like to see one of our showreels, or you would like to share a DVD Showreel of your work with us, we would be delighted to hear from you. ------------------------------------------------------------------ August 20112/8/11. Check out Jeff's latest tip of the month which shows you an alternative way to select files and folders in Windows 7. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Visit our News Archive for interesting snippets from the past. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Tip of the monthJanuary 2012 - How to repartition your diskIf you've been working with Windows for a long time, you probably remember using disk partitioning tools such as Partition Magic when you needed to create new partitions (drives) on your hard disk without formatting the disk and starting over. In Windows 7, you can do this without using a third party program. Before you do this I strongly recommend that you back up your data. Here's how to repartition your disk:
Now you can create a new partition in the newly unallocated space. To do this :
It really is a simple as that. Until next time. Jeff ------------------------------------------------------------------ This page only shows the latest tip of the month. Visit our Tip of the Month Archive for video related gems from the past. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Contact UsOne thing all of us at Valley Films believe, is that you can only do justice to your films by using experienced actors/actresses. We are very keen to visit local amateur productions to see actors in play (do you have a production team we can come and visit?); and although you can see from our films we already work with a number of very talented actors/actresses, we are always happy to talk to and work with new talent. If you are interested in acting in one of our future productions, you have an idea for a script that you think is a world beater, or if you would just like further information about Valley Films, please Contact Us.
