Documentary. During the HMS Cavalier Reunion weekend, we were lucky enough to gain access to HMS Kent - a serving ship of the line. Several of our team rose very early in the morning, caught a naval launch and joined the ship on the Medway, following her progress as she entered the Historic Dockyard at Chatham. We wish to extend our thanks to the Captain and crew for their hospitality.

The Gun Run  Click here for screen shots from the film

News feature. A gun carriage turns over during a run trapping a young cadet. One of our cameramen was on the scene when this incident took place. The film was subsequently used at the board of enquiry and led to the recommendation of a commendation for the two cadets involved in the rescue. We were invited to film this ceremony. This film is a record of both the incident and the presentation.

Sea Cadet Memorial Parade

Documentary. On a foggy evening in December 1951 a group of cadets were being marched to an event when a bus ran them down. 23 boys were killed and the event triggered a day of National mourning.

50 years later a memorial parade attended by many dignitaries including HRH Duke of Edinburgh was held. We were privileged to be asked to film the event. The subsequent film covered all aspects of the day including the dedication of a plaque by HRH.

Luton Village  Click here for screen shots from the film

Social record and documentary. A nostalgic look at a village that now is part of the huge conurbation that is the Medway Valley Towns. This video is the outcome of many years of research by a local historian.

Marine Cadets Centenary Parade  Click here for screen shots from the film

Factual. We were asked to record the centenary parade to commemorate the forming of the Chatham Marine Cadet unit. This covered the march through Chatham & Rochester, inspection, service and march-past of the cadets and invited units. We were fortunate to be able to film the page turning ceremony conducted by veterans from the two world wars in Rochester Cathedral. On this occasion the Lord Lieutenant of Kent turned the pages.
