About Us

Valley Films was formed in 1998 by a small group of people who were disillusioned with the way some established video clubs worked. We are based in and around the areas of Maidstone and Medway in north Kent.

From the beginning, our objective has been to develop the art and skills of amateur film-making. To this end we are structured along the lines of a small production group but without the professional constraints of having to earn a living at filmmaking or meeting client briefs.

We use the talents within for film making but have developed rapport with a number of amateur acting groups. We pride ourselves that the Actors with whom we work are treated with integrity and the utmost respect. No footage in which they appear is ever screened without their approval. We are therefore able to ensure that no individual is caused any personal embarrassment.

Our aim is to produce high quality, entertaining films - and to have a good time whilst doing it.

Valley Films comprise 6 couples:

While each member of the team can (if required) take on several roles, the group is normally organized along the lines of a standard production company, with each member taking a specific role.
